Meet Newbridge Sales Consultant Kane Killip


Meet Kane Killip, Sales Consultant at Resimax Projects’ Newbridge Estate. He’s got plenty to say about why buyers are loving this new development.

What does your role entail?

Kane: My role is all about finding the perfect block to suit the customer’s needs and expectations. With a strong first homebuyer presence in Newbridge it’s about providing them with knowledge and support for what could be their biggest financial commitment to date. I need to be an expert not only in what’s happening in Newbridge, but also the wider community of Wallan and the whole Mitchell Shire Council. I keep an eye on the bigger picture so I can report future and current growth in the area.

So there’s a lot more to it than just showing people around! Newbridge has already exceeded early sales targets. What is it that buyers love so much?

Kane: Newbridge is like no other estate in Wallan. It’s the perfect blend of country lifestyle and urban amenities, with a metropolitan feel. The brand new Catholic primary school, which will provide a pathway to Assumption College, is a big plus for our residents and the wider Wallan community. The convenience of the train station within walking distance is also hugely attractive to buyers. Most of all I think people see Newbridge as a place that offers them a real community, whether they’re growing families or people looking to downsize and enjoy the prime of their lives in this beautiful spot. There’s something for everyone at Newbridge.

Plus, the great news keeps coming for first homebuyers. Because the Regional First Home Owners Grant of $20k applies to all home and land packages at Newbridge. That’s right, the FHOG is literally doubled for a location that’s only 40 minutes from Melbourne.

Your passion for Newbridge is obvious. But what do you love most about working here?

Kane: For me, it’s all about the people. The people I get to meet through my work, be it the customer who walks in wanting information about the estate or the lady working behind the counter at the local supermarket. Wallan has a terrific sense of community and being able to sell families a home in this fantastic estate with everything at their front door gets me excited every day. And then there’s the ducks and wildlife that often greet me at my site office door in the morning! I can honestly say, I love working at Newbridge.

What’s the feedback been like from existing buyers?

Kane: I often chat to our Newbridge residents and the feedback’s been incredibly positive. They love their new homes and they’re full of excitement about Newbridge. Be it a first-time buyer or someone who’s upgrading to their dream home, there’s nothing more rewarding than helping them find that joy.  

What can we expect in Newbridge and Wallan in the years to come?

Kane: Everyone who’s watched the rapid expansion of Newbridge over the past six months has been blown away by how quickly it’s moving - it really is Victoria’s sleeping giant. The school, wetlands and sporting precinct are going to be a massive drawcard for Newbridge, and these factors will continue to increase demand into the future.

Wallan is a very fast-moving place, but it’s kept its country lifestyle and charm. People are coming in droves for the beauty, community and value, and with the upgrade to parking at the train station and the ongoing works to upgrade the roads and town centre of Wallan, there’s already been massive growth in property prices.
